Monica Samille Lewinsky was born on July 23, 1973, in San Francisco, California and was brought up in an affluent environment in Los Angeles. Her oncologist father, Bernard Lewinsky was of German descent and escaped Nazi Germany to move to El Salvador and then to the United States at the tender age of 14. Monica’s mother, Marcia Kay Vilensky was an author who ever wrote only one book titled “The Private Lives Of The Three Tenors”, a gossip biography which hinted at her having an affair with opera star, Plácido Domingo.
