Jerry Wayne Jones was born on October 13, 1942, in Los Angeles, California. Later his family moved to North Little Rock, Arkansas where he spent his childhood. Jerry Jones father J.W ‘Pat’ Jones and mother Armenia Pearl Clark Jones, got married in 1941. His father owned an insurance company. He went to North Little Rock Higher School where he played football in the running back position and eventually became the co-captain of Arkansas.
Being the co-captain of the team, Jerry won the national championship in 1964, with his teammates under the guidance of coach Frank Broyles. After Jerry Jones graduation, his parents moved to Springfield Missouri where his father became the President and Chairman of ‘Modern Security Life’ Insurance company.
