They then directed a black comedy musical called ‘Cannibal! The Musical’ that was loosely based on the true story of Alfred Packer in 1993.

They animated another film called ‘Jesus vs. Santa’ in 1995, which was widely circulated on the internet. It was spotted by the cable network Comedy Central which approached them to develop the ‘South Park’ series.

In 1997, they came with an animation sitcom ‘South Park,’ which premiered on the Comedy Central television network. It was so popular because of its crude language, sexual content, and dark humor, which were intended for a mature audience, and thus, it was the highest-rated shows.

This tremendous success caused the two to co-write and produce a full-length feature film based on the show. ‘South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut,’ which was released in 1999. The film registered a huge commercial success and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song for ‘Blame Canada.’

They also developed ‘That’s My Bush!’ which was aired on Comedy Central during April-May 2001. The personal life of President George Bush inspired the creation of the series.

In 2004, Parker directed a satirical action comedy film ‘Team America: World Police.’ This film made fun of big-budget films and the politics of the U.S.

Parker, Stone, and Robert Lopez collaborated to create the book, lyrics, and music for theatrical production, ‘The Book of Mormon’, which first premiered in 2011.
