Professional Life and Career
Terry has been a member of two bands in his career as a musician. First, he was the lead singer of the band by the name of Freedom Jam Band between 1987 and 1988. The band used to perform in high schools, and they performed in more than 200 high schools in the United States and Canada.
He later left the band and became a lead singer in another band by the name of Texas The Band. By then, he was 23 years old, and it was in the band that he incorporated his puppet, T, Airedale, to the show. Things were not going very well for him, and he realized he was not as famous as he thought.
This realization made him decide to join America’s Got Talent competition. He made his debut appearance on the show on 19 June 2007. He passed through all the stages and finally emerged the winner. He pocketed the prize money of $1 million.
After America’s Got Talent competition win, Fator decided to combine all his talents and make a career out of them. This was a smart move as he combined his comedy, ventriloquism, singing, and impersonations, and became very successful.
