In 2009, he formed the rap group ‘Migos’ along with ‘Take off’ and ‘Offset’. The group’s first-ever mixtape called ‘Jug Season’ was released in 2011. ‘No Label’ mixtape followed it the next year.

Until 2013, when the song ‘Versace’ was released, the group didn’t acquire much fame. The single went viral without any promotion and occupied a spot on the US Billboard Hot 100 charts.

It became so popular that Drake had to remix the song along with the group and added it to his album. ‘Young Rich Niggas’ was released soon after their single became a hit.

The mixed tape was credited by several magazines like ‘Complex’, ‘SPIN’, ‘Pitchfork’ and ‘Rolling Stone’.

In 2014, Quavo released another mixtape. He suggested it to be a sequel to his earlier mixtape ‘No Label’, and gave it the name ‘No Label II’. This tape gained a lot of popularity.

A month afterwards, the group signed a deal with ‘300 Entertainment’ and released a single ‘Fight Night’ in June 2013 which became a major hit. It was listed on ‘XXL’s 25 Best Songs of the Year’.
