Professional Life and Career

Chris joined the United States Navy when he finished school as his Uncle Henry’s advise him, and he served at North Carolina’s ‘Camp Lejeune,’ for four years. While there, he met the famous renowned heart surgeon. Chris quit the Navy in 1974, receiving encouragement from him he joined the research team at San Francisco’s ‘University of California Medical Centre and Veterans Administration Hospital’ for a position as a clinical research assistant.

He went upward, and in 1976 he was in charge of a laboratory, but poor pay pushed him to be medical equipment salesman. When Bob Bridges, a stockbroker, was inspired in being a stockbroker, he further received training from him, and he also availed opportunities for him.

While trying different firms, he got into ‘Hutton,’ and he quit being a salesman, but unfortunately, he went to square one when he found his recruiter had left. ‘Dean Witter Reynolds’ hired him as a trainee with no pay until they confirmed his job.

Soon, he was hired by the firm, with no salary till he got a confirmed job. With much dedication into his training, with around 200 calls each day, he was absorbed in 1982 as a full-time employee after clearing his ‘Series 7’ test. Later, Chris was recruited as a stockbroker by ‘Bear Stearns & Company’

Chris started his business venture, thus founding ‘Gardner Rich & Co,’ in Chicago, Illinois in 1987. With an investment of about $10,000, he worked from a tiny apartment at the ‘Presidential Towers’, but his venture was successful.

In 2006 Chris established a large firm ‘Christopher Gardner International Holdings’ after selling the previous one for several million dollars. The company had branches in San Francisco, New York, as well as in Chicago.
