Professional Life and Career
After graduation, Belichick’s career life in football kicked off in 1975 as a helper to Baltimore Colts’ mind coach Ted. Belichick then spent two decades as the assistant special team trainer at the Detroit Lions. Later in 1978 seasons, he joined the Denver Broncos. Belichick was the head trainer of the Cleveland Browns from 1991 to 1995.
Belichick was first involved with the Patriots in the 1996 season as their assistant head coach as well as the defensive backs coach. In 1997 he also joined the New York Jets as the assistant head coach as well as the defensive coordinator.
