When she was a teenager, Huma’s aspiration was to become a journalist. She got an opportunity to work as an intern for Hillary Clinton, who was then the First Lady. She got that opportunity at the White House in 2006..it was in the same year that Huma became the assistant editor of a journal by the name of the Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs, a post she held until 2008.
For many years, Huma was the personal aide to Hillary Clinton. She was credited for successfully leading Clinton during the 2000 U.S. Senate campaign in New York. Huma was appointed chief of travelling staff for Hillary during the 2008 Democratic presidential nominations.
For many years, Huma served as Hillary Clinton’s advisor, where she is known to use her expertise, particularly in the Middle East. Abedin was appointed the deputy chief of staff of the State Department. Following the appointment, she became a consultant for Teneo, which was a strategic consulting firm.
