She released her first studio album, ‘Songs in A Minor’ in 2001. The album was massively received and was sold to over 6.2 million copies in the United States and 12 million copies worldwide. This made her an internationally popular singing star.
In 2003, she released her second album which was greatly waited for, ‘The Diary of Alicia Keys’. To her fortune, it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and sold over 618,000 copies in its first week of release.
In 2007, she released her third album ‘As I Am’ and this proved to be a phenomenal success since it debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 chart and became an international commercial success. Some of its singles that became hit include: ‘No One’ and ‘Another Way to Die’.
